At it’s funniest, “Bridesmaids” probably wins out over “Friends With Kids.” However, at its most dramatic, the movies are reversed. Again, either film is a great choice (and really you should see both). However, only one is playing in theaters so I’d check that one out soon. This one balances some interesting characters with a difficult progression of multiple relationships. Even with what seems like a tired premise, “Kids With Friends” pulls off a story that is equally as funny and romantic. Touche.
Hm. I never thought it would be better than Bridesmaids, but I secretly hoped it would be just because the cast looks so perfectly assembled. I’m glad to hear it is funny (from more than one source) and has that emotional tie that Bridesmaids does as well.
But all of this talk is just making me want to see it more. I really am dying to see this movie. It will happen this week, review to come soon after. Cannot. Contain. Excitement.
